I just tried and failed to fix another person's cell phone. Call Failed error message on outgoing calls, incoming calls go straight to voicemail. Tried everything recommended online except put the SIM card in another phone. We're seeing what cell carrier support has to say now.

Current status: What do you mean there's no "disable LTE" option in your phone's mobile data settings menu?
UPDATE: Carrier support updated some network setting on their end to resolve the issue.
UPDATE 2: Issue returned a few minutes later😭
If this guy keeps being in the news, that moniker had better stick.
