While I don't think you need to be from Commiefornia to want animal torture "for science" to stop, I doubt we need a law to stop animals from being used in cosmetics testing since all the stuff I checked says it wasn't tested on animals. Maybe linguistic and/or loophole abuse is going on there.
The New York Times strategy to keep up subscription growth: They make it difficult to leave. Tucker personally knows someone who tried and failed multiple times to cancel a subscription and was given an automated error message due to a "transaction in progress". Refunds don't work, either. Sounds like their support and/or billing software is intentionally broken.
Easy to say, but try being the mom who can't breastfeed her baby due to an unresolvable inability to produce milk or the baby who can't have breastmilk because of some medical condition.
