My criteria: Is it small enough to fit in a small house or apartment? Is it cheap enough for the average person to be able to (eventually) afford it? Is it clean, quiet, and self-contained? Is it easy to use without overly specialized parts or training?
Maybe there's a legit case of different body shapes taking crash damage differently, but of course it will be taken as being done at people who don't have the same body shape as a standard crash test dummy.
