I just noticed this was here, so here's my lengthy write-up:
Tucker's all about the virus this episode.
First, a retrospective on how local "authorities" and regular people reponded to the 1918 Spanish flu and compared it to today.
Next, did you know that thousands of ventilators were exported to Indonesia while crying about needing more ventilators here?
Remember the big hospital ships' last hurrah? They were barely used. Same with the temporary hospital in the Javits Center.
Why do we pay these cretins taxes again? Why, when tax-exempt Indian casinos are subject to fewer restrictions than small business owners off the reservation? Why, when government employees shirk their job to serve the public good and do so ethically with near-impunity? Why, when government employees enforce unlawful and unethical laws and regulations with barely a qualm? Obviously, not every government employee is like this, but too many are.
First guest: Adam Carolla. He's a bit of a thicko sometimes, and it showed when it took last night's viewing of Hogan's Heroes to figure out that the virus response on the government and corporate side was a power move.
Next, Rick Savage's ongoing fight against the Maine governor. He's still fighting the goverment for the right to serve food and drink in his restaurant, obviously. If Tucker still owns property in Maine, why?
After that, the SSPX priest Father Kevin Robinson on his ongoing fight for the right to save souls by holding public Masses. He's seen his congregation double in size over a few months. He even has the support of the local police and the St. Thomas More Society.
Next, another small business owner fighting for the right to do business.
