Turns out Victor Davis Hanson's misgivings about National Review have to do with their editorial staff trying to "gatekeep" conservatism by denigrating Donald Trump and his supporters and ignoring issues that matter primarily to Trump supporters.

Do parallels exist in certain subsets of conservatism elsewhere?
