I've been doing some research into the claim that a lower percentage of white male voters voting for Trump in 2020 than in 2016 meant that Trump alienated millions of conservative white males. Rarely, if ever, are estimates of absolute numbers of voters given or used to support this claim.

According to this, the more likely reason for the change is millions of previously politically inactive white male leftists turning out against Trump in 2020. (Yes, I'm assuming all the statistics used in this analysis are based on votes willingly and lawfully cast)
