The Wall won't stop anything because it's not right on the border. Once the illegals step on U.S. soil, we can't just send them somewhere else.

Charlie's suggested solution: Asylum treaty with Mexico and negotiated DMZ covering both the U.S. and Mexican side of the border.

This is the first I've heard of a real policy problem with #BuildTheWall and not the usual "What about tunnels? What if the illegals find a way to climb it? What about illegals who enter legally then overstay their visas?" lines.
